When exactly is the switch-off?
Openreach retires the analogue (PSTN) network by 31 January 2027, and stop-sell is already in place. Waiting until late 2026 risks engineer bottlenecks.
What happens if we do nothing?
Lines simply stop working when your exchange migrates. Anything that dials — alarms, lifts, telecare, card machines — stops with them.
Will our numbers change?
No — numbers port to the new service at no charge. That includes memorable numbers you've had for decades.
